What to Bring When Collecting Your Moped
Your collection appointment is the final step before getting on the road. Prepare in advance so you can focus on understanding your vehicle and getting comfortable with it.
1. Bring your identification
Bring valid identification and any documents requested during your application. Make sure the details match the information you provided. If you’re unsure which documents you need, contact Ride Today before your appointment.
2. Check your licence and CBT requirements
Before riding, you must meet the applicable UK licensing requirements for your vehicle and circumstances. Depending on your licence and the vehicle, you may need a valid CBT certificate or other required entitlement. A driving licence does not automatically give permission to ride every type of moped.
3. Make sure your application is complete
Check that you’ve provided the information requested during your application. If our team has requested additional documents, supply them before arriving.
4. Have your payment method ready
Your hire agreement and payment arrangements need to be completed before collection. Check your booking and make sure your payment method is valid.
5. Read your hire agreement
Your agreement explains the terms of your subscription and your responsibilities as a rider. Pay particular attention to payment terms, servicing requirements, damage and repair responsibilities, accident and theft procedures, and return arrangements. Ask questions if anything is unclear.
6. Bring your phone
Keep your phone available so you can access booking information and contact details. It’s useful to save Ride Today’s support information before your first journey.
7. Wear suitable clothing
Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear. Make sure you have a suitable, correctly fitting helmet before riding. Safety equipment should be appropriate for the vehicle and comply with applicable requirements.
What happens at collection?
- Our team will go through the hire agreement with you.
- We’ll help you understand the main responsibilities associated with your subscription.
- You’ll receive basic guidance on using your moped.
- You’ll have an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the vehicle.
Take your time. If you’re unfamiliar with electric mopeds, ask questions before setting off.
Need a hand?
If you have a question about your moped or subscription, our team can point you in the right direction.
